About
Short bio
I am a third-year Ph.D. student studying applied mathematics at UC Berkeley. I am grateful to be funded by the DOE CSGF fellowship and advised by Professor Lin Lin.
I completed my undergraduate degree at MIT in 2017. I majored in “Mathematics with Computer Science,” aka course 18C.
In between, I worked as a software engineer at coda.io for two years, took half a year off to travel and have other fun life experiences, and worked with a small nonprofit for a year before deciding to go to graduate school. I started working with Professor Lin over the summer of 2021 and started graduate school in the Fall of 2022.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and being outdoors, cooking and searching for the best restaurants in the East Bay, and learning to be a little less bad at singing. I used to be an avid ultimate frisbee player but I’m currently in the process of rethinking my physical activity due to a number of injuries over the last few years.
